Travels with my Mavic - Episode 4 - Colts Hill to Odiham - No Fly Zone!!

NO FLY ZONE!!! Frustrating!! After a long time without flying I drove to one of my favourite spots on the Basingstoke Canal. I had seen many people that have flown their drone around Odiham Castle and I thought if I started at Colt Hill and worked my way down to the Castle I would have a good idea as to whether there was much military air traffic out of RAF Odiham to contend with.

I had seen a few RAF Chinooks flying around and I was going to contact ATC at Odiham once I got down to the castle. I set up my Mavic on a bridge along the canal and found that the geofencing was restricting take-off and so I had to be content with documenting my walk and capturing it on my Canon C100 MKii. I wanted to test a new 85mm f/1.8 lens I had just purchased and thought it would be nice to try out recording at 59.98hz and shooting for slow motion which I did in Post production.
